Volunteers tasks:
Volunteers work in Kokkola and the surrounding villages, visiting schools with a focus on the theme of friendship. They plan and lead interactive workshops that explore friendship and social skills. Together with the participants, volunteers reflect on what it means to be a good friend, how to maintain friendships, and how to build new ones.
Accommodation and food:
Volunteers live in cottages at Villa Elba in shared rooms. Volunteers get lunch on working days in Villa Elba or at schools and food money to buy groceries for other meals of the day.
Working hours:
Approx. 35 hours /week. Working days are usually from Monday to Friday between 8-15, but sometimes working hours can be in evenings or at weekends.
Pocket money:
The pocket money is 7 € / day which will be paid in parts in cash during the project.
Travel costs:
Volunteers travel costs to and from the project location are reimbursed based on the travel distance between volunteer’s home and the project venue. The distance is calculated using the official EU distance calculator, and this determines how much travel support you can receive.

Volunteering helps young people to broaden their perspective on the world and develop their multicultural skills. It helps them improve their language abilities, gain confidence in different situations, and build valuable skills related to working life, teamwork, and living abroad
