Informed Consent: Children and their guardians are given clear, age-appropriate information about the project or activity.
Voluntary Participation: Children can choose whether or not to participate and may withdraw at any time without giving a reason.
Do No Harm Principle: All activities are planned and conducted in a way that avoids causing any physical or psychological harm.
Background Checks: All staff and volunteers working directly with children are subject to criminal record checks.
Data Protection: We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the handling of children’s personal data.
Risk assessments are carried out for all activities involving children.
New employees and volunteers receive training in child protection as part of their onboarding process.
If a member of staff, volunteer, or visitor becomes aware of a suspicion or allegation involving a child, they are required to report it immediately to the designated safeguarding lead. Appropriate actions will be taken in line with our safeguarding procedures.
