Are you a young person aged 18-30 years interested in:
- crafting with nature materials?
- learning more about Finnish folklores about elves?
- acting and leading activities for children?
- living and working together with a multicultural group?
We host volunteers for a 6-week project and now look for 18 eager young people to join Elf Around!
During Elf Around project, the volunteers help to prepare Villa Elba’s Christmas project by:
- collecting nature materials and build elves for decorations
- plan and prepare activities and tasks for the elf path
- setting up Christmas lights and decorations around the path
- leading activities for visiting children and groups
Volunteers participate first in a 2 day on-arrival training, and after that they start the work together with their work supervisor.
After the on-arrival, training volunteers will start with practical work to help to build up the Elf path. The work is many-sided: to prepare the elves, prepare lanterns and lights, plan and prepare activities for the path, make costumes for elves, lead activities for visiting groups etc.
During the project, the volunteers will live in modern cottages in shared bedrooms. The cottages are equipped with kitchen and bathrooms. Meals are served in Villa Elba during on arrival training, and during the rest of the project, volunteers will get lunch at Villa Elba during working days and prepare other meals themselves.
